The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site where plain and mountain forests meet. The park spans 32 000 hectares and boasts remarkable biodiversity, including over 160 tree species and more than 100 fern species. The park is home to 356 bird species, 220 butterfly species and various majestic animal species, including the endangered mountain gorillas. This setting provides the opportunity for unique trekking experiences amid a lush landscape.

Flight access:

From Entebbe Airport to Kisoro Airstrip takes 1 hour,

then the transfer to the lodge is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes (38km).

Road access:

1. From Entebbe Airport, the transfer to Gorilla Heights Lodge in Kisoro takes 10 hours.

2. From Kigali Airport Rwanda, the transfer to Gorilla Heights Lodge through the Cyanika border takes 4 hours 30 minutes.
