Located within 10 minutes’ walk from the starting point of gorilla trekking, Gorilla Heights Lodge occupies the axis of Nkuringo, a gently sloping hill that is at cloud level, 2 400 m above sea level and is the highest vantage point in the southern wing of Bwindi.
Flight access:
From Entebbe Airport to Kisoro Airstrip takes 1 hour,
then the transfer to the lodge is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes (38km)
Road access:
1. From Entebbe Airport, the transfer to Gorilla Heights Lodge in Kisoro takes 10 hours.
2. From Kigali Airport Rwanda, the transfer to Gorilla Heights Lodge through the Cyanika border takes 4 hours 30 minutes.
