Gorilla Heights Lodge is set in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in southwestern Uganda. Its lush vegetation and precious animal life have earned it the title of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The landscape extends for an impressive 32 000 hectares framed by the Virunga Mountain ranges and is home to not just gorillas but hundreds of tree, bird and butterfly species.

Q: How do I get to Gorilla Heights Lodge?
A: Book a flight to Entebbe Airport. From there, you will travel to Kisoro Airstrip and take a 1-hour, 30-minute transfer to the lodge. By road, the transfer takes ten hours, but from Kigali Airport, Rwanda, it takes 4 hours and 30 minutes through the Cyanika border.
Q: What is the policy regarding children?
A: Children aged 5 years and under stay free of charge and children aged 6 to 12 years receive a 50% discount. We have a special menu for children and also offer childminding services on request.
Q: How should I pack for my stay?
A: It's important to pack clothing that is comfortable for walking and hiking, a waterproof jacket and a few warm items for cooler evenings. For the mountain forest climate, remember mosquito repellent, swimwear and a sunhat. Don’t forget binoculars and a camera.
