Night drive and star gazing

An extraordinary highlight that sets us apart from other standard game reserve activities is our nighttime drives through Mount Camdeboo Private Game Reserve accompanied by stargazing. These drives are guided by an expert staff member and usually take place between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. After dinner, you will be driven up the mountain to a quiet clearing where you can stargaze and learn about the stars’ patterns while you take in the vastness and stillness of the natural surroundings.

You also stand the chance of seeing some of the indigenous nocturnal animals, such as aardvark, genet, aardwolf, caracal and bat-eared fox. We do advise that you book your stargazing experience at reception to ensure your seat, as the maximum is six people in each group.
