The reserve spans an impressive 15 000 hectares and is home to a diverse ecosystem that supports both Highveld and Lowveld game species and abundant birdlife.

The birding safaris are an add-on experience and can be tailor-made to guests' needs, at an additional cost, taking place after 10:30 and ending by 15:00, before the evening game drive. These times are subject to change based on the season.
