Golden monkey trekking at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

As you trek through lush forests, you will have the opportunity to witness the endangered golden monkeys in their natural habitat, approximately two hours (52 km) from the lodge. An expert guide will lead you through this breathtaking terrain, sharing insights about the flora and fauna that make this area so special. The trekking experience takes place over approximately four hours.

NOTE: 

Participants must be 15 years or older to participate in the golden monkey trekking experience.

 

Participants are not allowed to interact with the monkeys but must maintain a minimum distance of 10 metres between themselves and the monkeys. A full briefing will be given by the guides before the outing.
