Tasting House
Enjoy a unique seasonal wine pairing journey, in which winemaker, Narina Cloete, has worked together with the chef to harmonise a ‘leisurely, mostly savoury’ pairing experience.
Created in collaboration with Ilse Schermers-Griesel of IS Art, the gallery at Blaauwklippen acts as an additional dimension to be enjoyed at the Tasting House.
The estate’s specialised experience center and bike park, perfect for kids and the adventurous at heart, feature a Velosolutions pump track and kids’ play area with a jungle gym.
Weather permitting, the family friendly Blaauwklippen market is open on weekends, offering an assortment of locally sourced and organic food and produce, along with other goods.

Blaauwklippen is ideally located along the R44 near to Stellenbosch — one of the most celebrated wine and culinary regions of South Africa with a number of top-rated local restaurants that regularly receive local and international awards.
Stellenbosch, a historic destination, is dotted with Cape Dutch-style buildings and oak-lined streets and perfectly depicts the charm of years gone by, while exuding a sense of vibrancy. It is a hub of art, culture and entertainment, with a number of galleries, museums and historical sites that point to the town’s heritage. Here, you will also find street-side cafés, plenty of restaurants and shops filled with locally crafted items.
From Stellenbosch, there is easy access to the rest of the winelands region and towns like Franschhoek, Paarl and Somerset West. For golf enthusiasts, De Zalze Golf Club and Stellenbosch Golf Club are both less than two-minutes from Blaauwklippen.

The region’s Mediterranean climate makes for pleasant summers, although winds can pick up. Notwithstanding the Cape’s unpredictable weather, which has earned it the reputation of having four seasons in one day, the region experiences an average of over 3 000 hours of sunshine a year.
