About Cape Town

Cape Town, otherwise known as “The Mother City”, is a cherished destination among locals and internationals alike. The city is the legislative capital of South Africa and is located on a peninsula, on the country’s southwest coast. It has, in recent years, been named the best place in the world to visit by leading international media – and the reasons for this are unmistakable. Cape Town is rich in natural beauty, diversity, entertainment and world-class developments.

The region’s Mediterranean climate makes for pleasant summers, although winds can pick up. Notwithstanding Cape Town’s unpredictable weather, which has earned it the reputation of having four seasons in one day, the city experiences an average of over 3 000 hours of sunshine a year. Winters are typically rainy, but the city takes on a cosy, European atmosphere which is easily embraced at one of the Winelands' many estates, alongside a fireplace.

I was at this Hotel for 5 days for business. After the second time, at the entrance they called me by my name. Good personal touch. Very professional stuff in all the Hotel. My room was looking theTable Moutanin with a small but nice terrance. Very confortable bed, classic and elegant decoration in the room but perhaps need more light inside the room (beiung alone noin need romantic athmosphere). Wlaking distance from waterfront, so no rumors around. The Hotel has also availbale an outside small pool with bar and confortable chairs to relax. I used the restaurant in the Hotel one night and I was delighfull about quality of the food and presentation. Superlative!! I have been previously inCape staying inother 5 styars Hotel ut no one hasd the personality and the cusotmer care of this HOte. Higly reccomended!

From out bedroom window we could see very clearly Table Top mountain which was a real bonus. The room was large and had everything that we wanted as and as it was my wife's birthday they gave a beautiful cake and champagne. We were a little early and the rooms were not quite ready but the front desk were very friendly and answered and helped in all our questions about Cape Town. We were shown to our rooms and unfortunately were shown the most beautiful room with dining area lounge massive bathrooms. My children were envious that we were being given this but as I said unfortunately the porter had been given the wrong key and had shown us the Presidential Suite. However if you can afford this I would say go for it. As stated our room as well as our children's were fine and I have absolutely no complaints. The hotel is part of a group of hotels and very close to the Waterfront. We were on a B&B only and the breakfast was excellent. However we were told that we could have breakfast at any of the hotels in the are which were part of the group. So we went to the Victoria and Alfred one day and the breakfast there was just superb I would thoroughly recommend trying it. You can sit outside but we found it just too hot.

Stayed 4 nights from 9 - 13 Feb as the start of a16 day holiday to Cape Town & the Garden route. This hotel is in an excellent location, with service to match. Literally across the road from the V&A waterfront with all its bars and restaurants, and also from the terminus for the hop-on/hop-off bus providing city tours which is a great way to get to know the layout of the city. Hotel room was large and very comfortable with an impressive bathroom. Top man Chad and all his staff in the reception/bar/dining room were superb and couldn't do enough to help in any way possible. Very happy to recommend and will not hesitate to book again when I hopefully return to Cape Town
