We offer a fully functional co-working floor with hot desks, as well as weekly and monthly desk and office rental options on the 2nd floor in our boardrooms. You can work and play at The Rockefeller. 

The hotel is located in the Foreshore district, which is a busy commercial area during the day and quieter at night. While many guests do walk short distances during daylight hours, we generally recommend using Uber or hotel-arranged transport after dark for comfort and safety, as is common in most parts of Cape Town.

The CTICC is approximately a 10–15 minute walk and the V&A Waterfront is about a 25–30 minute walk. While the route is straightforward, we recommend using Uber or a pre-arranged transfer, particularly in the evenings or early mornings, for convenience and peace of mind.

The Rockefeller Hotel is approximately a 20-minute drive from Cape Town International Airport. We offer shuttle services upon request, and taxis are readily available at the airport. For those preferring public transport, the MyCiti bus service provides a direct link to the city centre.

The Studio Bar & pool area closes at 20h00 to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for all guests, as it is an indoor leisure facility within the building. This also allows for daily cleaning, maintenance and noise consideration for rooms located near the pool level.

Due to the hotel’s central Foreshore location and the availability of reliable transport options, we currently do not operate a complimentary shuttle service. Guests can easily arrange transfers and tours through Marvel Tours via the speed-dial desk phone at reception, or make use of ride-hailing service such as Uber, with travel times typically between 3–7 minutes.

For added convenience, guests may also utilise the pickup point and travel desk at The V&A Hotel at the V&A Waterfront, which serves as a central collection point for many tours and transfers. Our concierge and security teams are always available to assist with arranging safe and efficient transport.

For guest convenience, all airport transfers, private drivers and tours can be arranged through Marvel Tours, which is accessible via the speed-dial desk phone at reception. Our team will gladly assist with making these bookings on your behalf.

In addition, guests may make use of the dedicated pickup point and travel desk at The V&A Hotel at the V&A Waterfront, which serves as a central collection point for many tours and transfer services. This provides added flexibility for guests spending time at the Waterfront before or after their stay.

The hotel has a full backup generator. During load shedding:

• Lights, WiFi, lifts and essential services remain operational
• Guest rooms and public areas continue to function normally
  There may be a brief switchover period when power transitions to generator supply.

Slippers and gowns are standard in selected higher room categories and apartments. To reduce environmental impact and unnecessary laundry, they are provided on request in other room types. Guests are welcome to request these from housekeeping at any time.

Keycards can deactivate if placed near cell phones, magnets or other cards. If this happens, reception can reactivate it immediately. Our team is also reviewing improvements to ensure smoother functionality.

Our restaurant and bar operate in line with guest demand and building operational hours. Last orders are taken at 22h00 to allow guests a relaxed dining experience while ensuring the team can reset for the next service.

While we do not currently offer a full 24-hour room service menu, limited late-evening options are available, and our team can assist with recommendations or nearby options if required. We continue to review this based on guest demand.

Microwaves are available in apartment-style rooms designed for longer stays. In standard hotel rooms, guests are welcome to request for a microwave, we have a limited amount available and will assist depending on availability.
