LETAMO at QWABI Private Game Reserve

LETAMO features a dedicated kids’ swimming pool, outdoor play area, and supervised children’s activities, ensuring younger guests are entertained while adults relax.
 

LETAMO is a two-hour (approximately 160 km) drive north of OR Tambo International Airport via the N1. Private transfers can be arranged through our reservations team.

Guests can expect to see the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino—plus giraffe, zebra, hippo and a variety of antelope on morning and evening drives.

Yes. Daily morning and afternoon game drives in open-air vehicles are included for all overnight guests.
 

LETAMO Lodge serves hearty breakfasts, high teas and three-course dinners in the main dining room, as well as boma dinners around the fire under the stars.

Yes. The Letamo Spa offers massages, facials and body treatments designed to rejuvenate after a day on safari.

We recommend neutral-coloured, lightweight clothing, a sunhat, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, binoculars, and a light jacket for cooler early mornings and evenings.

Cancellations more than 7 days before arrival incur no charge; 3–7 days’ notice incurs a 50% charge; cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable.

Child Minding Service

A child minding service is available upon request at an additional cost. Please provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.

General Policy

Children of all ages are welcome at LETAMO.

Accommodation Guidelines

Camp Cots: Available for children aged 0–2 years, subject to availability.

Rollaway Beds: Available for children aged 3–8 years, subject to availability.

• Children aged 0–2 years stay free of charge in a cot.
• Children aged 3–8 years may be accommodated on a rollaway bed in Premium Rooms and higher categories, at a nightly cost (maximum one child per room).

Room Configuration

Interleading rooms are available in Deluxe and Premium Rooms at LETAMO, subject to availability.

• One child (3–15 years): Charged 50% of the double adult occupancy rate.
• Two children (3–15 years): Charged 75% of the double adult occupancy rate.
• This policy applies to children up to 15 years of age.

Safari & Activities

Children aged 6 years and older may join adult game drives at LETAMO.

Children under 6 years may participate in a separate mid-morning kids’ game drive on request, subject to availability.

Guests must be 16 years or older to join safari walks, subject to the availability of Field Guides.

• Kids’ Club House: Supervision and child minders are available during operational hours.
