Chuini Zanzibar Beach Lodge Menu

Expansive ocean views and balmy sunsets invite guests to lose themselves in complete tranquillity. Located on the very edge of the Unguja Island where the Indian Ocean reaches the shore, Chuini Zanzibar Beach Lodge is the most voguish property to grace Zanzibar’s west coast and the embodiment of a utopian beach escape.

The lodge is set on the west coast of Zanzibar, 12 kilometres north of Stone Town, and its bungalows are spread out over a 1.5-hectare area, allowing for excellent privacy. Palm trees embellish the grounds and magnificent, panoramic sea views can be soaked in from each unit – a taste of perfection.

It is, however, recommended that guests pack in insect (particularly, mosquito) repellent and anti-itch or antihistamine cream. Visitors to Tanzania and Zanzibar are required to have a Yellow Fever vaccine and to present the certificate (or certificate of exemption from a medical professional) upon entering the country. It is further recommended that guests contact their local travel clinic for advice on the necessary precautionary measures for visits to this region.

Social Responsibility

Chuini Zanzibar Beach Lodge supports the nearby village, Meli Nane, with several projects. The lodge offers apprenticeships and training positions, promoting ecological awareness and educating fishermen. Additionally, it supports the dispensary and tries to ensure that the majority of its employees are locals. Chuini is also one of the few lodges in Zanzibar that offers medical aid insurance to its associates.

About Zanzibar

Zanzibar is an archipelago, situated off the coast of Tanzania in East Africa and surrounded by the warm Indian Ocean. It comprises a number of small islands and two larger ones, namely Unguja – also informally referred to as Zanzibar – and Pemba Island. Zanzibar is fondly referred to as the “Spice Islands” as the production of cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and black pepper that takes place here.

This region, due to its proximity to the Equator, remains warm throughout the year and has equal days and nights which each last 12 hours. Exploring the islands and relaxing on Zanzibar’s white sand beaches can be enjoyed to the fullest extent as the archipelago enjoys abundant sunshine.

We just spent 2 days relaxing and unwinding from mainland work and safaris and Rossana and team are amazing! World class service, excellent food and incredible views make this a 5-star resort. One of the best I've ever been too. Highly recommend if you're looking for a place that's close to Stone Town and has the privacy to escape. Don't be fooled by the road in. Once the gate opens, it's paradise!

We recently stayed at this beautiful resort. From our arrival till our checkout we were greeted with friendly management and staff. Andre the manager was cheerful and very helpful in all aspects of our stay. The rooms and surrounding grounds are stunning and with a magical backdrop of ruins and the ocean gave this place a mystical feeling. The meals were of some note, and the chefs, bar staff, waiters and waitresses were all extremely helpful and worked with confidence. I would recommend this place to any travellers wanting a taste of Zanzibar island luxury. We wish all the staff there the best for years to come and would like again to offer a great big thank you to all involved with our fantastic stay. The only suggestion I have for anyone wishing to marry at this location is source your own photographer rather than Fritz who was ours... his skills and professionalism were of a low standard.but this in NO way should be reflected onto the hotel itself. Thank again...

We are a family of 4, two older girls, so we booked 2 bungalows at this beautiful resort. From the moment we stepped on to the property we were personally greeted and welcomed by the Assistant Manager, Rossana. From that first moment the 8 day stay just continued to get better. When we thought wow this is amazing, the wow was outdone by a wow wow! Accommodation is first class, food delicious with personal attention to individual preference, for me I love chilli and fortunately the General manager Guissepe does as well, so that need was catered for. The staff are fantastic, from Christophe the barman to the waitresses, Lydia, Farita and all the others who ensured our every request was attended to with speed and a smile. I have no hesitation in recommending Chuini Beach Resort, if you want to experience great food, stylish accommodation in an amazing setting amongst Ruins overlooking the stunning Indian Ocean, friendly service, attention to detail and 2 of the most professional hotel managers i have come across in many many travels. Thank you Rossanna, Guissepe and all the wonderful team at Chuini.
