BABOHI at QWABI Private Game Reserve

BABOHI at QWABI is an adults-only lodge and welcomes guests aged 16 years and over. Please note that children under this age cannot be accommodated.

QWABI Private Game Reserve is home to the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino alongside giraffe, zebra, hippo and a variety of antelope species.
 

Yes, daily morning and afternoon game drives are included for all overnight guests. Drives are led by qualified rangers in open-air safari vehicles.
 

Enjoy breakfast, high tea and three-course dinners in the main lodge, plus authentic boma dinners under the stars. Special dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice.
 

Transfers from OR Tambo or Lanseria Airports can be pre-booked at an additional cost. Please contact our reservations team at least 72 hours before arrival.
 

Cancellations made more than 7 days before arrival incur no charge. Cancellations 3–7 days prior will be charged 50% of the booking. Cancellations within 72 hours of arrival are non-refundable.

BABOHI Lodge is located within QWABI Private Game Reserve, approximately 147km from O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg. The drive typically takes between 2.5 and 3.5 hours.

Yes, guests may self-drive. The route is primarily tarred, with the final 35km on well-maintained gravel roads. A high-clearance vehicle is recommended, particularly during rainy periods.

Yes. Travel via the R516 towards Mabalingwe Game Reserve. After passing Mabalingwe, turn right onto the Diepdrift dirt road. Follow the signage to QWABI Private Game Reserve.

BABOHI Lodge is approximately a 30-minute drive from the main gate. Guests are transferred through the reserve to the lodge by lodge vehicle.

Yes, transfers can be arranged through trusted third-party providers. Flight details should be provided in advance to coordinate your transfer.

Check-out is at 11:00.
